With such great tourism potential, Lang Co has developed many forms and services of tourism, such as convalescence centres, diving to behold ranges of corrals, ecotourism in the lagoon, mountain climbing, golf, tropical forest exploration, fishing, etc. Here tourists can swim in clear and blue sea water, enjoy various delicious seafood, visit Lang Co fishing village to behold the bustling scenery at the boat wharf, drink sweet coconut milk or go fishing on Lap An Lagoon at sunset.
Within 70km from Lang Co, there are world cultural heritage sites which have been recognised by UNESCO, including the complex of Hue relics, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary.
Since Hai Van Tunnel that connects Hue and Da Nang was opened and the construction of Chan May deep-water port with 130m of wharfs was completed, Lang Co rises as a young city with its economic strength. It has Chan May deep-water port, Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone and Chan May Urban Area. Thua Thien – Hue Province has invested 1,182 billion VND in 22 infrastructure projects, particularly in works for tourism and coastal environment protection. Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone has 33 domestic and foreign investment projects with a total capital of 1.9 billion USD, including many resort and tourism projects.
Since 2000, Huong Giang Tourism Joint-Stock Company in Thua Thien – Hue Province, made a joint-venture to build the 4-star Lang Co Beach Resort covering 10ha which consists of villas with 200 rooms facing to the sea. The resort was designed in Hue’s architectural style with a harmonious architectural combination of imperial palaces, temples and pagodas, wooden houses and garden houses. All bedrooms, restaurants, swimming pools and tennis courts were built amidst a green space with small alleys edged with clusters of violet myrtle trees. The resort was put into operation in March 2001 with various tourism services of swimming, massage, tennis, badminton, beach volleyball and football. It organises tours to catch seafood, go fishing in Lap An and An Cu Lagoons, visit Hai Van Pass, Hai Van Tunnel, Bach Ma National Park, go to the forest to swim in Voi Spring, etc… Annually, about 25,000 tourists visit Lang Co Beach Resort.
Currently a project on building Laguna-Hue Ecological Tourism Area that is funded by Banyan Tree Group ( Singapore ) with a total capital of 875 million USD in an area of 280ha near Lang Co Bay has started construction.
