Cargo Club

Traditional Hoi An specialities and other Vietnamese favourites served in style at the classic Cargo Club in the heart of the ancient town. The Mermaid Nhu Y

New, and very stylish restaurant on the banks of the Hoi An River about two kilometres from the old town (free shuttle boat available). The Mermaid Nhu Y specialises in modern Vietnamese cuisines and dishes, that are beautifully presented, expertly prepared and cooked to order every time. The Mermaid Nhu Y also runs a daily Vietnamese cooking tour that includes a market walkabout, a boat trip, demonstration and lunch.

Han Huyen floating restaurant

Han Huyen seems to be most people's automatic destination when it comes to eating out in Hoi An and for a set up that looks suspiciously like a tourist trap it seems to deliver surprisingly well. You can order 'international' food here but it's best – like in so many other Southeast Asian locations – to stick with local dishes and in this case traditional Vietnamese fare with a good view on the old town.

Mango Rooms

Mango Rooms is a popular and stylish, restaurant that features an excellent fusion of contemporary Vietnamese cuisine with international influences.
