These are the nine greatest bronze urns in Vietnam, placed in front of the The Mieu (The Temple). These urns were cast by Emperor Minh Mang ( Minh Mang Kinh Tomb in Hue ) in 1836 with nine different names. Each urn symbolizes for an Nguyen King and all of them symbolize the sovereignty of the dynasty.
On each urn are finely carved 17 traditional Vietnamese patterns like stars, rivers, mountains, seas an ocean, vehicles, forestry and sea products, etc. The 153 patterns on the 9 urn constitute a real encyclopedia on the country.
