'The Kingdom of Plants'

Day 1: KUNMING. Meet on arrival at Kunming airport. Dinner set Chinese and overnight at Harbour Plaza Hotel, or similar.
Day 2: KUNMING - DALI. Morning flight Kunming/Dali. Upon arrival, visit the morning market and traditional Bai minority residences at Zhoucheng Town, the tie-dye-cloth workshop at Xizhou Town, Butterfly Fountains, Three Pagodas and the old city of Dali. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Asia Star Hotel, or similar.
Day 3: DALI - LIJIANG. Overland drive from Dali to Lijiang via the newly reopened road with visit to the Bai minority village Xinhua. In Lijiang, visit the Black Dragon Pond (the Five Phoenix Pavilion and the Dongba Research Institute) and the old town. Lunch at local restaurant in Hequing. Dinner at Din Din restaurant. Evening visit to Naxim Orchestra. Overnight at Grand Lijiang Hotel, or similar.
Day 4: LIJIANG. Visit to the Dragon Spruce Meadows of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountains (roundtrip cable incl.). Lunch at local restaurant. Dinner set Chinese and overnight at Grand Lijiang Hotel, or similar.
Day 5: LIJIANG - ZHONGDIAN. Overland drive via the Yunnan/Tibet road to Zhongdian. Stops and visits to the Shigu (Stone Drum) village, the First Bend of tlte Yangtze River and the Tiger Leaping Gorge en route. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the Diqing Hotel, or similar.
Day 6: ZHONGDIAN. Visit to the Ganden Songzanlin Monastery, the Napa Nature Reserve, the Tibetan Hospital and the local market. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the Diqing Hotel or similar.
Day 7: ZHONGDIAN - KUNMING. Transfer to airport for morning flight Zhongdian/Kunming. Upon arrival, visit to the Western Hills. Evening enjoy the Yunnan Show at Kunming theatre. Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Harbour Plaza Hotel, or similar.
Day 8: KUNMING. Visit the Stone Forest - 80 hectares of bizarre-shaped ancient limestone cliffs and peaks created by wind and water erosion. This area is home to the Sani minority, who offer cultural performances nightly. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Drive to Kunming for night at the Harbour Plaza Hotel, on similar.
Day 9: Transfer to airport for departure.

Kunming to Hanoi

Day 1: KUNMING. Arrive Kunming and transfer to the Pinnacle Tian Hong Hotel.
Day 2: LIJIANG. Morning flight to Lijiang and transfer to the Grand Lijiang Hotel. Visit the town's pavilions and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (stair lift).
Day 3: DALI. Morning visit local market and drive to the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge, the stone drum and Yangtze River. After lunch drive to Dali. Over night Asia Star Hotel.
Day 4: DALI. Erhai Lake cruise (with Bai tea ceremony and folk dance show). After lunch visit the old city of Dali.
Day 5: KUNMING. Morning flight to Kunming and on arrival tour of the Stone Forest.
Day 6: KUNMING. Morning visit the western Hills, Dragon Gate (chair lift) and Tai Hua Temple. Afternoon transfer to station for 14.45 departure.
Day 7: SAPA. Arrive Hekou at 07.00. Cross border and transfer to Sapa Victoria Hotel
Day 8: SAPA. All day to spend exploring Sapa.
Day 9: HANOI. Mid-morning departure to Lao Cai Travel and board the train for overnight journey to Hanoi.
Day 10: HANOI. Arrive early morning and transfer to the Hanoi Movenpick Hotel. Rest of day free.
Day 11: HANOI. End of tour.
