Duong Lam Village is in Ha Tay Province and about 60 km west of Hanoi. This village has been known as a museum of laterite with ancient houses aged up to 400 years old. It is also the only place in Vietnam where two kings came from. After the recognition of Hoi An ancient town and Hanoi old quarter, Duong Lam was recognized as a national relic in 2005.

Duong Lam Commune:
In Duong Lam Commune, visitors can see famous relics such as Mia Pagoda, Phung Hung Temple, Ngo Quyen Temple and Mong Phu communal house.

Mia Pagoda was built during the Tran Dynasty before 1632 and still preserves many ancient artifacts.

Mong Phu is the biggest and the most famous village of Duong Lam Commune. Here, visitors also can see ancient houses and small lanes as well as everyday life of residents.

Duong Lam Village is also well -known for the birthplace of the two kings Phung Hung and Ngo Quyen, the two heroes led resistance wars against China's Sung and Southern Han troops to recover national independence. After their death, the local people built temples to worship the Kings.

A visit to Duong Lam village is a trip to trace back the origin of Vietnam's culture and Vietnam's traditions and a great chance to explore the special architecture through its surviving laterite brick ancient houses. Laterite and mud, the two materials that are abundant in the area, on house walls, gates, wells, temple walls, and so forth.

Impress travel team will pick up you at hotel at 7.30 a.m, we will drive to northwest of Hanoi to visit Tay Phuong pagoda, which is big and famous pagoda in Vietnam with 18 statues, those were coated with lacquer paint, then a break for tea to talk to the monks.

Next visit is to Duong Lam village, you will be able to see the daily life activities of the locals; water buffalos working with the farmers in the rice paddies, village gates with Banyan tree, old houses with tiled roofs….if you like, you will be invited into one of local houses here for a try on their tea and local tobacco and more, it is simply lots of fun here.

We then say goodbye the locals to go for our lunch and then back to Hanoi for visiting Vietnam ethnic minority museum and Hanoi temple of literature. We will come back your hotel at 5.30 PM
